Under the latest guidelines for the 2024-2025 academic year, the Tamil Nadu government will cover the entire tuition fees for students who secure admission through the single window system. The scholarship is designed for first-generation graduates, and it is anticipated that approximately 1.6 lakh students will benefit from this initiative, with a budget allocation of around ₹400 crore​

Eligibility: The scheme specifically targets students from families where no member has previously graduated. However, students already receiving benefits from the Prime Minister’s Education Scholarship Scheme or those admitted under the 7.5% reservation will not be eligible for this scholarship​
